Dr. Armstrong is a native of Hickory, NC. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she earned a degree in Biology. She then relocated to Nashville, Tennessee where she attended Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry. She graduated in 2010 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.

Dr. Armstrong completed a General Practice Residency at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville Medical Center before settling in Greensboro, NC. She has worked in private practice since 2011. Dr. Armstrong also served as an officer in the North Carolina Army National Guard. Dedicated to seeing more young women in the health professions field, she mentors young people interested in a career in dentistry.

Dr. Armstrong attends continuing education classes to keep her dental knowledge current. When she is not busy seeing patients, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, shopping and going to the movies.

Dr. Bates could be considered a world traveler. Growing up with a father in the military, he has resided all over the world to include places such as Alaska and Germany, but is proud to call Clarksville, Tennessee home.

Dr. Bates completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville with a double major in Biochemistry and Psychology. Initially interested in pharmacy studies, he decided to pursue a career in dentistry instead. Dr. Bates graduated in 2011 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry in Nashville, TN. He then went on to complete a General Practice Residency at Louisiana State University in New Orleans, LA. Dr. Bates settled in Greensboro, NC in 2012 and served as an officer in the North Carolina Army National Guard.

Dr. Bates attends continuing education classes to keep his dental knowledge current, and is especially good with pediatric patients and oral surgery. Dr. Bates is a member of several dental societies as well as Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.

When he is not busy with patients, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and playing video games.

Alyssia began her career in dentistry in 2010 as a dental assistant. From the start, she has been passionate about creating a positive experience for patients by ensuring they feel informed and comfortable throughout their treatment. She values patient education and is always seeking ways to enhance care and communication.

In 2023, Alyssia transitioned into the administrative side of dentistry and now serves as our office manager. Her clinical background, combined with her attention to detail and commitment to patient care, make her a valuable part of our practice.
Originally from Ohio, Alyssia now enjoys the warmer weather of North Carolina and is proud to call it home. Outside of the office, she and her husband Jordan, married since 2015, enjoy hiking, singing, and playing video games together.

Jennifer was born and raised in Greensboro, North Carolina, in a big, close-knit family with roots in Oaxaca, Mexico. Being bilingual in English and Spanish has helped Jennifer stay connected to her heritage while also building strong relationships in her community. She has always had a creative side, especially when it comes to arts and crafts—scrapbooking is one of her favorite ways to express herself. She also enjoys caring for her birds and listening to country music, which has been a constant source of comfort and joy in her life. She is currently engaged to the love of her life, and as she looks ahead, she’s focused on continuing to grow, connecting with others, and making a positive impact wherever she goes. She’s hardworking, passionate, and always ready for the next opportunity to learn and contribute.

Elizabeth is originally from Mexico City. She graduated as a dental assistant in 2019 and joined Neighborhood in 2024. Since then, she’s truly enjoyed being part of a team that feels like family.

Elizabeth takes pride in welcoming new patients with a warm smile and reconnecting with familiar faces. Building trusting, personal relationships is one of the most rewarding parts of her role. She’s passionate about helping patients feel comfortable and confident during their visits, and always strives to ensure they leave with a smile. Outside of work, her life is full and joyful with her husband, four children, and two energetic huskies. They love to travel together and create unforgettable memories as a family.

Ashley has spent 14 years making smiles brighter as a Dental Assistant. Off the clock, she enjoys family life, gym time, sandy toes at the beach, strong coffee, and getting lost in a great book.

Thao is another one of our full-time hygienists and has been part of the Neighborhood Dental family since 2016. Originally from Vietnam, she and her family have lived in Greensboro since 1993.

She is a single mother of two beautiful daughters who are currently in school at ECU and UNCG. While working as a manicurist, Thao attended Guilford Technical Community College. She graduated in 2009 as dental assistant and again in 2011 as a Dental Hygienist.

A hard worker by nature, Thao has worked two jobs to support herself and her daughters for as long as she can remember. She loves both jobs wholeheartedly. Thao loves to make her clients as well as her patients feel good about themselves. In her spare time, she enjoys painting and reading. Thao's dream home is one by a lake where she can gaze out of her window and paint. Her motto is "when you stop dreaming, you stop living."
